Where and When to Bring Items

We receive donations at the front door of our house at 910 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30306. Please click here for directions.

Our times to receive donations are:

Sundays: 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Mondays through Thursdays:
9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays:
We are closed. We are not able to receive donations on these days.

Donating Money or Stock

Checks or money orders should be made payable to The Open Door Community and mailed to the Community at:

Atlanta, GA  30306-4212

Donating Vehicles

The Open Door owns vehicles of varying ages and conditions which we use in our ministries. From time to time we accept donations of vehicles in good condition which meet our needs at that particular time. If you have a vehicle you are interested in donating, please contact Phil Leonard, Administrative Manager, at 404-874-4906 or opendoorcomm@bellsouth.net.

Tax Deductibility of Donations

The Open Door Community is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Open Door provides receipts for all money, stock, and vehicle donations, and we are happy to provide receipts for item donations upon request.
